2. Lü Dongbin: A scholar and poet who is the most popular and widely recognized of the Eight Immortals. He carries a sword to dispel evil spirits and is considered the patron of scholars and poets.

3. Li Tieguai: Often portrayed with an iron crutch and a gourd, he is known as the "Iron-Crutch Li." He represents the sick and needy, using his powers to heal and help others.

4. Han Zhongli: Recognizable by his large, fan-like belly, he is often shown holding a fan or a peach, symbols of longevity and immortality. Han Zhongli is known for his wisdom and ability to create gold and silver from stones.

5. Cao Guojiu: Once an imperial court official, he is often depicted in official robes and holding castanets or a jade tablet. He represents nobility and righteousness, and his powers are said to include the ability to purify the soul.

6. Han Xiangzi: A musician immortal who is often seen playing a flute, symbolizing harmony and joy. He is said to have the ability to make flowers bloom instantly and to create beautiful music that can heal the heart.

7. Lan Caihe: Often depicted as a young person or a hermaphrodite, Lan Caihe carries a basket of flowers and fruits, symbolizing the transient nature of life and the joy of living in the present.

8. Zhang Guolao: An elderly man who rides a white donkey, often shown carrying a bamboo drum. He represents the power of perseverance and is known for his knowledge of alchemy and his ability to summon spirits.
