Arranging Flowers in a Vase - Handcraft Ronghua Tutorial

Arranging Flowers in a Vase

Floral arrangements with Ronghua(velvet flowers) draw inspiration from traditional Chinese flower arranging, emphasizing "elegance" and "correctness." "Elegance" refers to avoiding excessive piling of flowers, aiming for a harmonious and graceful look. "Correctness" means that the flower shapes should have a natural and fresh appearance. This tutorial is based on Jin Nong's "New Year's Picture" from the Qing Dynasty. The entire floral arrangement is very simple, consisting of a cluster of plum blossoms and two clusters of bamboo leaves. The combination of plum and bamboo is known as "Double Purity."

Steps:

1                                                         2
