Bamboo Leaves - Fullflowers

How to Make Bamboo Leaves - Handcraft Ronghua Tutorial

Bamboo Leaves

Materials and Tools: Velvet strips, silk thread, copper wire, ruler, scissors, tweezers, clamping board, setting water, lighter.

The method for making bamboo leaves is relatively simple, but attention must be paid to the arrangement of the branches and leaves to ensure they are layered and not overly complex. This simple floral design can be used for vases or brooches (the velvet strips should be shortened accordingly for brooches).

Steps:

1                                       2                                      3

1. Prepare 14 green gradient velvet strips, each 4.3 cm long.

2. Sharpen both ends.
3. Use the clamping board to flatten the strips from bottom to top.

4                                                          5

4. After spraying with setting water, flatten them again with the clamping board.
5. Trim the strips into leaf shapes.

6

6. Trimming complete.

7

7. Group every three leaves into a chicken claw shape and assemble them sequentially with green silk thread.

8

8. Assemble several groups of leaves in layers.

9                                    10                                   11

9. Take a 0.5 mm color-preserving copper wire and fold it in half.
10. Attach the copper wire to the base of the bamboo leaves using silk thread.
11. After wrapping a certain distance, fold the copper wire in half.

12                                                            13

12. Continue wrapping the exposed copper wire and the already wrapped copper wire.
13. Continue wrapping until reaching the connection point of the lowest leaf and branch, then tie a knot.

14

14. Use a lighter to seal the end.

15

15. Finished.
