3.8 Chanhua Wired Leaf Vein
Share

1. Prepare a leaf mold, silk threads, and three pieces of 0.4mm copper wire. Combine two of the wires and wrap them together with silk thread (call this Wire A). Wrap the remaining single wire with silk thread (call this Wire B).
2. Take Wire A and shape it to fit the leaf mold. Leave about 5mm extending at the tip of the leaf.
3. Use pliers to pinch and flatten the tip of the leaf.

4. Take Wire B. Place the middle part of Wire B at the leaf tip. Wrap the thread around it three times to secure.

5. Remove the mold. Then pull both ends of Wire B straight down and bring them together at the bottom of the leaf.
6. Use your finger to gently curve the leaf into shape. Then wrap the thread around the stem part to secure all wires.

7. Your wired leaf vein is now complete.
