3.3 Chanhua Double-Sided Gold Edge Wrap

1. Prepare one piece of 0.4mm copper wire, three pieces of 0.3mm copper wire, a leaf template, and silk threads.

2. Take a leaf template. Place the 0.4mm copper wire at the bottom of one half. Use the basic petal technique to wrap this half with thread.

3. At the connection point on the outside of the wrapped half leaf, add the three pieces of 0.3mm copper wire. Wrap the thread around them twice to secure.

4. Move the 0.3mm copper wires to one side. Add the other half of the leaf template and finish wrapping it.

5. Bring the two leaf halves together and hold them. Use pliers to pinch the tip of the leaf to make it pointed. At the same time, press the three 0.3mm copper wires against the side of the leaf and shape them.

6. Pull the copper wire from the other side to the back of the leaf. Use the pliers to help shape it as well. Finally, wrap all the remaining copper wires together with thread to secure them. Your double-sided gold edge wrap leaf is now complete.
