Ronghua (Velvet Flowers), a form of traditional Chinese biomimetic floral art, is also known as "Palace Flowers" or "Auspicious Flowers." Characterized by a lush and elegant style with strong decorative appeal, and carrying the homophonic meaning of "ronghua" (荣华, glory and splendor) which symbolizes prosperity and wealth, it has long been highly favored by the people.

This book is divided into eight chapters.

Chapter 1 explores the historical background of Ronghua's development and its different schools, helping readers better understand its past and present.

Chapter 2 provides a detailed introduction to the common tools and materials used in Ronghua making.

Chapter 3 covers the fundamental techniques, including annealing brass wire, wire wrapping, scissor techniques, dyeing, the process for making Northern-school velvet strips, and basic shaping methods.

Chapter 4 explains the creation of basic leaf and flower forms, encompassing various foundational techniques for both the velvet ball style and flat clamp style.

Chapter 5 delves into the making of complex flat clamp style flowers, specifically the rose, peony, wire inlay narcissus, lotus, and temple hair ornament flower.

Chapter 6 instructs on crafting complex velvet ball style flowers, including the peony, money tree, "Phoenix and Triple Abundance," lotus, and chrysanthemum.
