3.6 Chanhua Firework Petal

1. Prepare a longer piece of 0.4mm copper wire, firework petal templates, some 2mm beads (various types), and velvet or silk threads.

2. Wrap a short petal completely as usual. Then fold it in half. Wrap the thread around the copper wire once to secure it.

3. Pull out one end of the copper wire. Continue using the thread to wrap a long petal. Make sure the curved sides of both templates face the same direction.

4. Bend the long petal in half as well. Wrap the thread around the bottom once to secure it. Then, pass the thread between the two petals and wrap once more to reinforce.

5. Bring the remaining copper wire to the space between the two petals. Thread various beads onto the copper wire as you like.

6. After adding the beads, bend the other end of the copper wire back to the bottom and pull it tight. Then, wrap the thread around as usual to finish off.
