Taking Camellia as an example. After changing colors, the layout and shaping approach for these petals are also suitable for large-petaled flowers like peonies and magnolias. This section will connect with the previously made 7 to 9-filament large leaves to form a complete flower style.
Bud Making Steps
(Text in diagram: Spacing is 2mm.)
01 Arrange the threads as shown. Use 7 sets. Velvet row width is 3.2cm. Brass wire spacing is 3mm. Use 0.2mm or 0.18mm annealed brass wire to make the velvet strips.
02 Trim the velvet strips into the shape shown in the diagram.
03 The shape and arrangement spacing of the velvet strips are as shown in the diagram.
04 Adhere the velvet strips together to complete one petal.
05 You can shape the petal. In the diagram above, the left side is the initial form, while the right side has been adjusted outward with tweezers to create a curve. 06 Combine with the flower stamens. Three petals form one group to make a bud.
07 As shown in the diagram, make two buds.
Large Flower Making Steps
01 Arrange the threads as shown. Use 9 sets. Velvet row width is 4cm. Brass wire spacing is 3mm. Use 0.2mm or 0.18mm annealed brass wire to make the velvet strips.

Assembly Steps
01 First, combine a small bud with one 7-filament leaf.
02 Next, combine one 7-filament leaf, one 9-filament leaf, a stem, and another small bud. All spacing measurements are marked in the diagram.
03 Combine the component from Step 02 with the large flower.
04 Place two more 9-filament leaves beneath the large flower.
05 After winding down 4.5cm, add a 0.3mm brown binding wire.
06 Fold the stem in half.
07 Use pliers to flatten the folded section.
08 Wrap it back with silk thread.
09 Also wrap around the binding wire area, then combine with the hairpin.
