Binding Brass Wire - Ronghua(Velvet Flower)

1.After combing the velvet, one end of the velvet comb should be fixed on the velvet comb rack or table with a strong clamp, as shown in Figure 1 and Figure 2. The side of the strong clamp that contacts the velvet comb should be pasted with velvet cloth to prevent slipping (as shown in Figure 3). If there is no velvet cloth, other materials can be used as a substitute.

2. Dip your thumb and index finger in anti-slip powder, take out the annealed brass wire (as shown in Figure 4), take out one and fold it, gently stroke it, and twist it with your thumb and index finger (as shown in Figure 5), until the brass wire is straightened (as shown in Figure 6).

3. Bind the straightened brass wire on the velvet comb,use thumb and index finger of both hands twist in the opposite direction to tighten the brass wire, and at the same time, the left hand and the right hand exert force in the opposite direction to stretch the brass. wire straight (as shown in Figure 7, the red arrow represents the opposite force of both hands); then adjust to the appropriate position. The specifications of the brass wire and the annealing tutorial will be discussed in the next issue.
